Be prepared: Gold dredging can be a physically demanding activity. Make sure you're in good shape and have the proper gold dredge equipment before starting. Use a suction nozzle to get better suction and minimize turbulence. Use a gold pan to sample the material before you start dredging.
Dec 18, 2008. #3. A highbanker is more portable and versatile. Your not going to drag a dredge up to side of a hill to work a bench deposit. If you like the idea of both, then what Eu said is correct. A combo unit would be the way to go, and if you want to work deeper parts of the river, float it on pontoons.
